Saturday 23.04.2022, Mariupol is the most bombarded city in Ukraine during the war. Hellion, the guitar player of Death Metal group Hell:on talks about how the war has affected him as a musician and human.

After Russian attack Hellion was following news and only news 24/7. He couldn't think about or even listen to music. The guitar player says "Make music not war" is a great phrase but back in reality things are never that easy.

Before the invasion Hell:on was ready to enter studio to record their seventh album, Shaman. On Scythian Stamm album from 2020 the band found the magic in studio and concerts as they layered the record with their shamanic vibes. The same magic and vibes will be a big part of upcoming concept album Shaman too. At the moment band has about 8 songs and over 40 minutes of music ready to go.

Hellion wishes for quick victory for Ukraine against Russian invaders and hopefully hit the studio this summer. Guitarist believes that recording a new album can help band members to let go of the war and it’s horrors and also to bring back the joy of life. Passions for music burns stronger than ever in ranks of Hell:on.
